Muriel Spark’s witty and intelligent novel centers upon the influence the charismatic, dedicated, and unorthodox Miss Jean Brodie exerts over a select group of students at the staid Marcia Blaine School for Girls in Edinburgh, Scotland.

One of that select group, the crème de la crème, will eventually betray her.
